અમદાવાદ: ગુજરાતમાં વરસાદની સીઝન ચાલી રહી છે ત્યારે સાથે સાથે જંગલોમાં ધોધની પણ સીઝન ચાલી રહી છે. ગુજરાતમાં મોટાભાગના ધોધ માત્ર ચોમાસાની સીઝનમાં સક્રિય હોય છે, તો કેટલાક ધોધ શિયાળામાં ડિસેમ્બર સુધી પણ સક્રિય જોવા મળે છે. જાંબુઘોડા અભ્યારણ્યને અડીને આવેલા ઘોઘંબા તાલુકાના બાકરોલ ગામ નજીક આવેલ હાથણી માતાનો ધોધ શરૂ થતાં પ્રવાસી મોટી સંખ્યામાં ન્હાવા ઉમટી પડ્યા હતાં. જાંબુઘોડાથી ફક્ત 21 કિલોમીટરના અંતેર આવેલા ઘોઘંબા તાલુકાનાં બાકરોલ નજીક પર્વતઓમાં આવેલા હાથળી માતાનો ધોધ વરસેલા વરસાદના કારણે શરૂ થઈ ગયો હતો જ્યાં લોકોએ મનમુકીને આનંદ માણ્યો હતો. આ સ્થળે હજારો પ્રવાસીઓ ન્હાવા માટે ઉમટી પડ્યા હતાં.
 

પ્રાકૃતિક સૌંદર્ય માણવાની સાથે સાથે હાથણી માતાના ધોધ નીચે ન્હાવાનો લ્હાવો પણ લે છે. હાથણી માતાનો ધોધ સમગ્ર ગુજરાતમાં પ્રખ્યાત બન્યો છે અને આ સ્થળે પણ શનિ- રવિની રજાઓમાં મોટી સંખ્યામાં યુવાનો અને યુવતીઓ વગેરે ફેમીલી સાથે ઉમટી પડે છે અને હાથણી માતાના ધોધમાં ન્હાવાનો લ્હાવો લેતા હોય છે. લંબાઇની બાબતમાં મધ્ય ગુજરાતમાં જાંબુઘોડાથી હાલોલના પટ્ટામાં આવેલો હાથણી માતાનો ધોધ વિખ્યાત છે. આ ધોધ તેની સક્રિયતાની સીઝનમાં થોકબંધ પ્રવાસીઓને આકર્ષે છે જે મહદઅંશે મધ્ય ગુજરાતમાંથી આવતા હોય છે.
 

હાથણી માતાના સ્થળે જવા માટેનો સૌથી સીધો રસ્તો જાંબુઘોડાથી વાવ- ચાલવડ ગાંધરા, ગરૂમાલ વાવળાકરોલ જે પંદરેક કિલોમીટરનો અંતર થાય છે તે સૌથી સીધો રસ્તો છે. બીજો રસ્તો શિવરાજપુરથી જાય છે. જંગલ વિસ્તારનો માર્ગ હોવાથી અહી આવતાં જતા સહેલાણીઓને થોડી મુશ્કેલી પડે છે તેમ છતાં અહી સહેલાણીઓ અચુક આવે છે.
 

હાથણી માતાના ધોધ જોવા તથા ધોધમાં ન્હાવા માટે ખાસ અત્રે સહેલાણીઓ આવે છે. હાથણી માતાનું મંદિર અંદર ગુફામાં આવેલું છે. અને આ મંદિરની ઉપરથી ધોધ સિવાય પણ અહીં જોવા લાયક જંગલ વિસ્તાર છે.
